The first line of the Delhi Metro, connecting Rithala to Shaheed Sthal (Ghaziabad).
Inaugurated in 2002 by then PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee, it marked the beginning of a new era in Delhi's public transport.
It starts at Rithala in North West Delhi and goes up to Shaheed Sthal in Ghaziabad.
