Ealing Common is a District and Piccadilly line station in Zone 3 that serves the pleasant open green of the same name. The common is a triangular green space directly adjacent to the station — quiet, well-maintained and good for a brief outdoor stop between the busier stations of Acton Town and Ealing Broadway on either side. The surrounding residential streets are prosperous and tree-lined, with local cafes and shops within a short walk.
Ealing Common opened in 1886 on the District line and is served by both District and Piccadilly lines. It serves Zone 3 and is not step-free. Ealing Broadway (one stop west) is the main commercial centre for this part of west London.
The District line (green) and Piccadilly line (dark blue) both stop at Ealing Common. Eastbound trains connect toward Acton Town and central London. Westbound trains run to Ealing Broadway (one stop). Journey to Victoria on the District line is approximately 30 minutes.
