South Kensington is known as the 'museum quarter' station, providing direct tunnel access to the Natural History Museum, Science Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum - three of the world's greatest free museums within a 5-minute walk of each other. The station also serves the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Palace area, set in 275 acres of Kensington Gardens.
