About Abbesses

Abbesses is the deepest Métro station in Paris (36 metres underground) and one of only two stations to retain the original Hector Guimard glass canopy entrance from 1912. The Place des Abbesses outside is the gateway to the finest parts of Montmartre village, with its cobbled streets, artists' studios, charming cafes and the famous Love Wall ('Le mur des je t'aime').
