Cité is a Line 4 station on the Île de la Cité - the island in the Seine at the historical heart of Paris where the city was founded by the Parisii tribe around 250 BC. The station opens directly onto Notre-Dame Cathedral (currently being restored after the 2019 fire) and the Sainte-Chapelle, whose 13th-century stained glass is considered among the greatest medieval artworks in the world.
