About Minami-Senju

Minami-Senju is a Hibiya line station on the northern edge of the shitamachi (old downtown) area. The neighbourhood is the historic execution ground of Edo-period Tokyo (Kozukappara execution ground), now partly marked by a small memorial in the adjacent Enpuku-ji temple. The area is also known for its proximity to the Shirahige district and the Sumida River.
