About Nihombashi

Nihombashi is where Tokyo and Japan began - the historic stone bridge is the official geographical centre of Japan, marked by a bronze zero-milestone marker from which all road distances in Japan are measured. The area houses Japan's oldest department stores (Mitsukoshi, est. 1673) and the Bank of Japan, and has been the commercial heart of Edo/Tokyo for 400 years.
