Imam Muhammad University Metro Station is the southern terminus of the Purple Line - the end of Line 6 and the gateway to one of Saudi Arabia's largest and most significant universities. Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University (IMSIU) was founded in 1953 and is the primary institution for Islamic and Sharia studies in the Kingdom, with faculties across law, Arabic language, social sciences, and Islamic studies. The university has campuses across the country but its main campus in Riyadh is served by this station, giving tens of thousands of students and faculty their first direct metro connection.
Elevated Zone 2 terminus station on the Purple Line. The southern end of Line 6, opened 2024. As a terminus, trains originate here heading northbound - passengers boarding at this station are guaranteed space.
Purple Line only. From this terminus, the northbound Purple Line serves Khurais Road, Al Andalus, Al Yarmuk, Granada, An Naseem (Orange Line interchange), As Salam (Orange Line interchange), Uthman Bin Affan Road, SABIC, Ar Rabi, and ultimately KAFD (Blue and Yellow interchange) at the northern end of the line.
