King Saud University Metro Station is the western terminus of the Red Line, placing the Riyadh Metro at the doorstep of one of Saudi Arabia's oldest and most prestigious universities. King Saud University (KSU) is a vast campus covering over 10 square kilometres in western Riyadh, home to around 70,000 students and staff. The metro has transformed commuting for this enormous population, replacing a significant portion of the daily car trips to and from the campus.
The station also serves King Saud University Medical City - a major teaching hospital complex on the campus - making it a key stop for patients, medical professionals, and students in the health sciences faculties.
Elevated Zone 1 terminus station on the Red Line (Line 2). The western end of the Red Line, which runs east through the King Abdullah Road corridor across the city. Opened 2024.
Red Line only from this terminus. Eastbound trains run through KACST, At Takhassusi, Al Wurud, King Abdulaziz Road, STC Al Olaya (Blue Line interchange), Ministry of Education (Green Line interchange), Riyadh Exhibition Center, and further east to King Fahd Sports City.
Toilets, WiFi, and an information desk. Terminus-scale facilities with bus interchange and space for taxis. Students use the station throughout the day from early morning to late evening during the academic term.
Full step-free access. Lifts, tactile paving, audio announcements in Arabic and English, and platform screen doors throughout.

King Saud University Medical City - 10 minutes on foot. A major tertiary teaching hospital complex with specialist centres.
King Salman Oasis - next stop east. A large urban park and leisure development on King Abdullah Road.
Sunday to Thursday 06:00 to midnight, Friday 13:00 to 02:00, Saturday 06:00 to 02:00. Busiest during university term time - mid-morning and early afternoon. Significantly quieter during university holidays.
