Why we built World Metro Guide
Navigating a new city by metro can be overwhelming. Timetables, fare zones, ticket types, interchanges — every network has its own logic. We built World Metro Guide because we kept running into the same problem: good, reliable, plain-English metro information was scattered across dozens of official sites, each with a different structure and varying levels of clarity.
So we decided to fix it. One website. Consistent format. Every major metro system on the planet. Station-by-station guides, fare calculators, route planners, and honest travel tips written by people who have actually ridden these networks.
We cover 50+ cities — from the London Underground and Delhi Metro to the Tokyo subway and the New York City MTA. And we are always adding more.
