AIIMS

AIIMS Metro Station is an underground station on the Yellow Line, positioned as the primary transit hub for one of India's most renowned medical institutions - the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS). The station sees a unique and constant flow of passengers: patients and their families from across the country, doctors and medical students, support staff, and journalists covering health ministry activities.

The station's underground setting is a practical blessing given the busy road above (Aurobindo Marg), and the facility is designed to handle the extraordinary and continuous footfall that the proximity to AIIMS generates. The station has ATMs, restrooms, and customer care services that cater to visitors who may be unfamiliar with the metro system, many of whom have travelled from rural areas across India specifically to access AIIMS medical care.

The station is also a transit point for those heading to the INA market and Dilli Haat at the next stop north.
