Vidhan Sabha

Vidhan Sabha Metro Station is an underground station on the Yellow Line, situated in the institutional area of Civil Lines in North Delhi. The station takes its name from the nearby Delhi Legislative Assembly (Vidhan Sabha), which is the official seat of Delhi's state legislature. It is a stop that reflects the administrative character of North Delhi, surrounded by government buildings and civic institutions.

The station serves a mix of government workers, local residents, and commuters heading between North Delhi and the busier hubs further south. Civil Lines, which the station is embedded within, is one of Delhi's oldest planned residential areas, originally developed for senior British colonial officials. Today it retains a quiet, spacious character quite unlike the crowded neighbourhoods of old Delhi.

The station's underground design keeps it cool and insulated from the busy streets above. The concourse level is clean and efficient, and the station's relatively moderate footfall compared to other Yellow Line stops means that boarding here is generally stress-free. It provides good access to Roshanara Bagh, one of North Delhi's most beloved historic gardens.
