About Edgware Road

Edgware Road (Circle, District and Hammersmith and City lines) is one of the original Metropolitan Railway stations from 1863, and one of two stations sharing the Edgware Road name in this part of central London - the other, on the Bakerloo line, is 300 metres to the north. This station serves the sub-surface lines and sits at the edge of the Arab quarter of Edgware Road, where Lebanese, Syrian and Egyptian restaurants, shisha cafes and Middle Eastern supermarkets have concentrated over the past half-century into one of central London's most distinctive culinary and cultural strips.
