About Mudchute

Mudchute DLR station is named for one of London's most pleasant urban surprises: Mudchute Park and Farm, one of the largest urban farms in Europe, which occupies a substantial area of the Isle of Dogs right in the middle of the Docklands. The farm has over 200 animals - sheep, pigs, horses, goats, llamas and a range of poultry - in what is essentially a rural farmyard environment within sight of Canary Wharf's towers. Entry to the farm is completely free, it is open every day, and it is one of the few places in London where you can watch horses being groomed, pigs being fed and chickens wandering freely, all for nothing. The DLR station itself is elevated and gives excellent views over the Docklands landscape.
