Oakwood station is a Piccadilly line stop in the London Borough of Enfield, one stop before the Cockfosters terminus and another of Charles Holden's late 1920s and 1930s station designs for the northern Piccadilly extensions. The station serves the outer northern suburbs of Enfield close to Trent Country Park, the 413-acre ancient woodland and parkland that makes Cockfosters one of the better day-trip destinations on the Piccadilly line. Oakwood has a car park and serves as a park-and-ride point for commuters from the wider Enfield and Hertfordshire area.
Oakwood station opened in 1933 as part of the Piccadilly line extension to Cockfosters. It sits in Zone 5 and is served by the Piccadilly line only. The station does not have step-free access but has a car park. It is between Southgate to the south and Cockfosters to the north.
The Piccadilly line (dark blue) connects south through Southgate, Arnos Grove and Wood Green towards central London. Northbound, one stop brings you to Cockfosters, the Piccadilly line's north-eastern terminus. Journey time to King's Cross is approximately thirty-five minutes.
Oakwood station has a car park and ticket machines. Local shops and cafes are within a short walk. The station car park makes it a useful park-and-ride point for Piccadilly line commuters from the outer Enfield area.
Oakwood does not have step-free access. Cockfosters (one stop north) has step-free access and a large car park.

Piccadilly line services at Oakwood run from approximately 05:00 to midnight. Night Tube operates on the Piccadilly line on Friday and Saturday nights. The station is quiet outside weekday rush hours.
