About Queensway

Queensway station is on the Zone 1 stretch of the Central line between Notting Hill Gate and Lancaster Gate, giving access to Hyde Park's northern side via Bayswater Gate and to Queensway street itself, which is one of central London's more unexpectedly lively shopping and dining corridors. The street runs from the Bayswater Road south towards Kensington, lined with international restaurants, late-opening supermarkets and the historic Porchester Baths - a 1920s swimming complex that remains one of London's best examples of interwar public leisure architecture. Whiteleys, the former grand department store on Queensway, has been redeveloped into apartments, a boutique hotel and retail.
