About Belsize Park
Belsize Park is a Northern line Zone 2 station in one of north London's most attractive residential neighbourhoods - leafy streets of grand Victorian and Edwardian villas, excellent independent restaurants along Belsize Lane and England's Lane, and a quiet affluence that feels a world away from central London despite being 15 minutes by tube. The station itself has a notable WWII history: its deep tunnels served as air raid shelters for thousands of Londoners during the Blitz.
Hampstead Heath is a 15-minute walk north through Belsize Park's residential streets. Primrose Hill, with its panoramic London views, is about 20 minutes walk south. The local restaurant and cafe scene along England's Lane is consistently good quality - one of north London's better neighbourhood dining strips.
