About Dagenham East

Dagenham East station is a District line stop in east London, notable for its proximity to Eastbrookend Country Park and the Beam Parklands - a connected series of nature reserves and open spaces along the River Beam on the eastern edge of Dagenham. The park covers substantial open land including wetland, grassland and woodland, and is one of the more significant natural areas in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. The Ford Dagenham engine plant, one of the surviving elements of what was once one of the world's largest car manufacturing complexes, is also nearby.

Station Overview

Dagenham East station opened in 1932. It sits in Zone 5 and is served by the District line only. The station does not have step-free access. It is between Dagenham Heathway to the west and Elm Park to the east.

Lines and Connectivity

The District line (green) connects west towards Dagenham Heathway, Becontree and central London. Eastbound, the line continues through Elm Park, Hornchurch and Upminster Bridge to Upminster (the terminus). Journey time to Victoria is approximately fifty-five minutes.
