Dashrath Puri

Dashrath Puri Metro Station is an underground stop on the Magenta Line, serving as a critical transit lifeline for the densely populated, unauthorized-turned-regularized colonies of Dashrath Puri, Nasirpur, and Mahavir Enclave. Located on the congested Palam-Dabri Marg, the station was a highly anticipated infrastructural upgrade. Since its inauguration in 2018, it has drastically improved the daily commute for thousands of residents who previously had to navigate severe traffic to reach the Blue Line at Dwarka.

The station is built deep underground, providing a cool, organized refuge from the chaotic, dusty environment of the main road above. Despite being located in a highly congested area, the DMRC managed to design an efficient, spacious concourse capable of handling the massive influx of daily wage earners, office-goers, and students. The area outside the station is a typical West Delhi mix of heavy traffic, numerous e-rickshaws, and dense residential housing.

Strategically, Dashrath Puri provides deep penetration into neighborhoods that were traditionally transport blind spots. It offers residents a fast, direct route to the Airport and the commercial hubs of South Delhi. The station is maintained with strict security protocols and the standard cleanliness expected of the DMRC, making it a reliable and safe starting point for daily journeys.
