About Brent Cross

Brent Cross station is best known for its proximity to Brent Cross Shopping Centre - one of the UK's first purpose-built out-of-town shopping malls, opened in 1976. The shopping centre is not directly at the station; a ten-minute bus ride or twenty-minute walk separates them. However, Brent Cross station also sits at the heart of one of the largest regeneration projects in Europe: the Brent Cross Cricklewood scheme plans to deliver over 7,500 new homes, a new town centre and major new parks over the coming decades, substantially transforming this part of north-west London. A new Brent Cross West station on the Thameslink rail line opened in 2023 as the first major new London station in years.
