North Wembley is a quiet residential Bakerloo line station in the suburban stretch between Wembley Central to the south and South Kenton to the north. The station serves the low-density residential streets of north Wembley and is primarily used by local commuters. For visitors to London, the station is mainly relevant as a stopping point en route to Harrow and Wealdstone, or as a quieter starting point if staying in the suburban Wembley area.
The station opened in 1932 as part of the extension of the Metropolitan Railway's Bakerloo line services. It is a surface-level station with a modest ticket hall and platform structure typical of 1930s suburban station design. The area around the station is largely residential, with Barham Park, a pleasant local park, a short walk away.
North Wembley station opened in 1932. It sits in Zone 4 and is served by the Bakerloo line only. The station does not have step-free access. It is between Wembley Central to the south and South Kenton to the north on the Bakerloo line.
The Bakerloo line (brown) connects south to Wembley Central (one stop, with Overground and National Rail connections) and beyond to Stonebridge Park and Paddington. Northbound services continue to South Kenton, Kenton and Harrow and Wealdstone.
North Wembley is a minimal station with ticket machines. There are no shops within the station. Local convenience stores and a small parade of shops can be found a short walk from the station on the main road.
North Wembley does not have step-free access. Wembley Central (one stop south) is the nearest step-free station on the Bakerloo line in this area.
Barham Park - fifteen minutes walk east. A Victorian park with a local history museum in the former manor house, open on selected days. Quiet and rarely crowded.
Wembley Central - one stop south. For access to the London Designer Outlet, SSE Arena, local shopping and connections to the Overground.
Wembley Stadium - about two kilometres south-east; better reached from Wembley Central or Wembley Park.
Bakerloo line services at North Wembley run from approximately 05:30 to midnight Monday to Saturday and 07:00 to 23:30 on Sundays. Night Tube operates on the Bakerloo line on Friday and Saturday nights. The station is quiet outside commuter peak hours.
