Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh Metro Station is an elevated Magenta Line station in South-East Delhi, serving both the Jasola Vihar residential area and the Shaheen Bagh neighbourhood. Opened in 2017, the station became nationally known in 2019-2020 when the Shaheen Bagh area was the site of a prolonged civic protest. Today, the station continues its primary role as a transit hub for the diverse communities it serves.
The station covers two distinct neighbourhoods: Jasola Vihar, a DDA residential colony, and Shaheen Bagh, a densely populated neighbourhood with a predominantly middle-class Muslim population. Both areas have active local markets and community life. The station is elevated and provides a view over the expansive Okhla area toward the Yamuna floodplains to the east.
For daily commuters, the Magenta Line here offers excellent connectivity to South Delhi's main hubs at Hauz Khas and Saket, and eastward to the Botanical Garden interchange for Noida. The station is well-served by auto-rickshaws connecting to both Jasola Vihar and the Shaheen Bagh colony interior.
If you are heading to Jasola Vihar Colony, Jasola Vihar Shaheen Bagh is your closest metro stop on the Magenta Line. It also gives easy access to Shaheen Bagh Neighbourhood and Okhla Bird Sanctuary (nearby). Use the fare calculator to plan your journey cost before you travel.
