Abu Baker Al Siddique

Abu Baker Al Siddique sits on one of the busiest commercial and residential corridors in Deira, a stretch packed with mid-range hotels, supermarkets, electronics shops and some of the densest housing in the city. It is a genuinely lively part of Dubai, and the station handles a heavy daily flow of residents, hotel guests and shoppers moving through the area.

The stop also marks a turning point on the Green Line. This is one of the last elevated stations before the line drops underground for its run through the historic heart of Deira, so as you head towards the souks from here the view from the window gives way to tunnel. It makes a useful landmark for orienting yourself on the line.

Station Overview

Abu Baker Al Siddique opened in 2011 on the Dubai Metro Green Line and sits in Zone 6 of the NOL fare system. It is an elevated station on a viaduct, and beyond it towards the city the line goes underground. Trains, as across the network, are fully automated and driverless.

Lines and Connectivity

Abu Baker Al Siddique is a Green Line station. Trains run towards Abu Hail and the Etisalat by e& terminus in one direction, and towards Salah Al Din and the underground Deira and Bur Dubai heritage stops in the other. Union, two stops away, is one of the network's two Red Line interchanges, along with BurJuman.

Station Layout and Structure

Abu Baker Al Siddique is an elevated station with lifts, escalators and stairs from the concourse to the platform. Facilities include toilets, ATMs, NOL top-up machines and a staffed service point, with taxis and feeder buses at the entrance. Gold Class carriages are at the front of each train and a women and children carriage runs in the middle.

Accessibility

Abu Baker Al Siddique has full step-free access, with lifts between street level, the concourse and the platform. Tactile paving, audio announcements and platform screen doors are all in place, in line with the network's standards.

Timings and Best Time to Travel

Trains at Abu Baker Al Siddique run Saturday to Wednesday 05:00-00:00, Thursday 05:00-01:00 and Friday 08:00-01:00. Given the dense housing and hotels nearby, it is one of the busier Green Line stops at the weekday commuter peaks around 07:30-09:30 and 17:00-19:30, easing off through the middle of the day.
